Hi Michael
how did you get on at the auction, I was there Wednesday morning, I may submit paintings for the next auction...is it worth the effort?

Hello Henry,
There were a few bids for my two paintings but because the bids were just under the reserve price, unfortunately they weren't sold.
The person running the auction sent me an email in December telling me about the auction and asking me to submit some of my work. As far as I know you have to be invited in order to take part. Though I suppose it wouldn't hurt to ask. Apparently the invites for the next auction in May will be sent out in the next week or so.
If you have the chance to submit your work I would say it's worth a try. It's just a case of providing them with the requested details for each painting and then delivering the paintings to the auction house. They deal with the catalogue and the advertising. Although informing people who have an interest in your work won't do any harm. _________________ Michael Hepburn Fine Art & Giclée Prints
